From a materialist's or a pagan's perspective, it is perfectly alright to look down on people. Only Christianity says that people are equal. Julien is an atheist, a nihilist and a materialist - he rejects Christianity, though, as with most atheists, it appears that he is angry with God for giving us free will and for the world not being Christian enough.

Julien he has many good qualities and can be a very thoroughly decent human being. He has surrendered to a lifestyle that is extremely destructive, and you are seeing the result.

Julien also enjoys shocking people, so it is unwise to have a good faith dialogue with him. He will not reciprocate, and will merely seek to provoke you.

Pretty fair assessment once you remove the whole religious BS

Firas, I think you are spot on when you state that only Christianity treats people equal. I thought about this carefully. Any other group of humans is driven by fickle ideology (which of course changes all the time - with any new wannabe 'philosopher' that comes along) and if you do not conform to their rules you become and outsider, are parasite as stated above. Christianity does not do that.
